2. Scholarship

Seigakuin Atlanta International School (SAINTS) offers need-based scholarships to families who demonstrate need. Scholarships are awarded without regard to religion, race, national and ethnic origin, or gender.

SAINTS uses School and Student Service (SSS), a confidential third party, to process scholarship applications. Based on the financial information you provide in the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS), SSS gives us an analysis which helps SAINTS Scholarship Committee to objectively assess each family’s financial needs. The SSS analysis is not the sole determinant of the amount of the scholarship that may be awarded. Scholarship awards are determined by SAINTS Scholarship Committee based on all information available to it and the funding available in any given year. Scholarship awards are considered to be confidential and recipients are prohibited from discussing scholarship awards with other parents or SAINTS employees other than the principal or business manager.

The scholarship awards are granted for one school year at a time. Recipient must reapply every year.

To request a scholarship, please follow the steps below by February 1, 2017.

  1. Go to http://sssbynais.org/parents, click on the “ Complete Your PFS ” button, then complete and submit the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) online using SAINTS code #2875. If you have any problems or questions with the PFS, please contact the Customer Service center for Parents at 800-344-8328 or sss@nais.org. The online SSS application fee is $48. SSS is no longer accepting any printed PFS. You must apply online.
  2. Upload or mail a copy of your 2016 taxes (Form 1040 including all schedules) *and W-2 forms to SSS. As part of the online PFS process, parents now have the ability to upload tax documents and W2s directly to SSS. For mail, please send documents to: SSS by NAIS, PO Box 449 Randolph, MA 02368-0449. Do not send tax documents to SAINTS.
  3. Please fill out the Scholarship Application Form and mail it to: SAINTS Scholarship Committee, 5505 Winters Chapel Rd. Atlanta, GA 30360 or email it to scholarship@seigakuin.us. We must receive it by February 1, 2017.

*Scholarship applications are due by February 1, 2017 to qualify for the 2017-2018 school year. Early tax return preparation is necessary, because your 2016 taxes are part of the scholarship application.
