Japan Drawing Contest at Consulate-General of Japan in Atlanta

The first drawing contest by the Consulate General of Japan in Atlanta was held in Fall 2011. The theme was "Your message to school children in Japan's earthquake-affected area." There were 144 entries from kindergarteners to high school seniors. The judges, professional artists, selected the three best drawings in each category; elementary school level (Grade K-5), middle school level (Grade 6-8), and high school level (Grade 9-12). Those winners of The Consul Generalfs Award, 2nd place and 3rd place will be presented award certificates and prizes by Consul General Hanatani on March 9. Also, several works won the Honorable Mention Award.
