SAINTS opened in 1990 on the campus of Oglethorpe University as a cooperative education program between the two schools. SAINTS moved to its current location in 2003 and started the Two-Way Immersion education program, which centers on having both Japanese and English environments. In Light of our long-standing relationship, SAINTS and Oglethorpe University have created an affiliation to exchange our countries’ customs and to promote cross-cultural understanding. We hope to create many opportunities for the Oglethorpe University students, who are interested in Japan and the Japanese language, to sample Japanese life without getting on a plane. We hope that the SAINTS students, as bilingual ambassadors, will welcome the American students and introduce the Japanese school system in a way that is unique to SAINTS.
