FAQ

Q.
Please tell us about the beginning of the school.

A.
SAINTS started at the Oglethorpe University campus in September 1990 with 16 kindergartners and 7 elementary children. Mr. Andrew Young, then the mayor of Atlanta and a U.N. ambassador, gave us a warm welcome.

Q.
What is Two-Way Immersion?

A.
There are over 330 Two-Way Immersion schools in the U.S. Most are English and Spanish two-way immersion schools in California, Texas, Florida and other states. Since Japanese and English Two-Way Immersion schools are rare, we attract the attention of many experts and we are constantly exchanging information. Please see the “Parents’ Guide to Our Two-Way Immersion School” for more details

Q.
Please tell us about your student body.

A.
SAINTS has become a truly international school, with students from bilingual, Japanese, and English speaking families. Japanese children and American children study and play together, speaking their own languages freely and learning language from each other.

Q.
Where do your teachers come from?

A.
We receive many resumes from around the world and are fortunate to be able to choose excellent and devoted teachers. The teachers have a good understanding of the current educational situation in both Japan and America, and are front-runners in the development of educational ideals and values for the future.
